A track is the virtual place on which the cars race on. Cars race around the track a certain amount of times (depending on the lap count) in an attempt to finish the race as fast as possible. Consisting of the world file (w.), the environments of tracks vary, such as a supermarket or museum, environment that supplement the world of Re-Volt and its RC cars.
Each of the 14 tracks are divided into a difficulty category, which denotes their amount of obstacles and complexity. The difficulties are Easy, Medium, Hard, or Extreme. Easy tracks are available by default, however the other tracks must be unlocked by winning their respective Championships. Each of these tracks are also available in Reverse mode, where vehicles race in the opposite direction of the track, and in Mirror mode where the whole track is mirrored, thus left turns are right and vice versa. Reversed mode for a track is unlocked by beating the Time Trial challenge times for the specified track, including all the tracks that share the same difficulty and championship cup with the desired track. Mirror is available by beating the challenge times in Reverse. Reverse-Mirror is also available, and is unlocked by beating the challenge times but in Mirror.

Special Tracks[]
There are some tracks which are considered Special Tracks. These tracks are used for different purposes other than racing. Unlike Standard Tracks, they are not available in the conventional Playmodes of Re-Volt.
A series of modifications are required to select Frontend in the legacy versions. However, this is not a problem in RVGL and some builds of Re-Volt 1.2, which make possible the use of the -dev flag in the program shortcut to automatically unlock all tracks and cars in the game, which includes Frontend.
Intro Sequence was originally in the Dev version. Was brought to Re-Volt 1.2 and included in few newest builds, and consequently in RVGL, together with various features from Dev. In the two fan patches, Intro Sequence can be unlocked by the use of the -dev flag, as Frontend. Nothing is necessary in Dev though, since no track in this version have an unlocking criteria.
