The last weeks has been quite busy, more than I am used to. Especially this week, since I've been visiting a ''"high school"'' some kilometers away from where I live. Still not quite sure which kind of education I am going after, at the moment I am considering something graphical and creative, but everything is very confusing. Too many options!

At the same time I am getting ideas, related to programs and tracks. Since I am soon finishing my illegal co-operation with 3ds max 8, I am only focusing at my last 2 max projects, when it comes to track making. My next release, RAGarden is soon finished; At the moment I am only fixing bugs and working on the MAKEITGOOD part. Some recent positive feedback also cheered me up to try finish the track within 2009. The picture to the right is an early screenshot of my not-so-beautiful pickup in-game I took some while ago.

== Member of the month ==

Recently Killer Wheels released a track at his comm, a really nice addition to my collection. Thinking about it, he must be full of hope since he still continues to improve his website. I hope the activity will grow there, and the amount of members will rise. Right now there it's nice to be over there, not so many unnecessary posts from mindless members as elsewhere. KW is a nice person and fair when it comes to rating tracks. He'll be the member of the month for me. =)

FutureCars is a Re-Volt mod that borrows cars and tracks from[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ubisoft Planet of Death] by [http://rvzt.zackattackgames.com/main/comments.php?trackname=Cosmo+City Ubisoft]. The underlying theme of the mod is to go fast. Really fast. All FutureCars are designed for sheer speed, so much so that all tracks created for them have to have a special modification called UltraGrav (or Ultra Strong Gravity) in order to keep them on the track. The mod as a whole is being pieced together using tracks and cars created by various authors.

== The Cars ==
Currently FutureCars has 20 unique cars to choose from, most of which use borrowed POD-car models, but some of which are totally custom. All car specifications are assigned through a few adjustable variables and a program that calculates the car's performance from those variables. The end result is that all cars are fairly balanced, and most of the real performance boosts come from the car's design (its model, wheel positions, and so forth) and its suspension. All cars can reach upwards of 60 to 70 miles an hour on regular tracks. On tracks with speed boosters, cars hitting consecutive boosts have been clocked at over 100mph. That's the kind of speed they're dealing with!

== The Tracks ==
Currently there are only seven formal FutureCars tracks, and many of these are temporary fill-in tracks. Only a few of them are full-blown POD-style tracks. As previously mentioned, all tracks use UltraGrav, which is a strong farce field pointing straight down that enables these cars to stick to the ground at extremely high velocity. This gives the cars horrendous amounts of maneuverability, which they'll need to tackle some of the complex corners that these tracks have to offer. These tracks also require extensively modified AI lines in order to handle the high-speed cars.

All tracks have been modified from their original state to incorporate UltraGrav and the altered AI lines, among other things.

== Changes in the Executable ==
The full version of FutureCars makes changes to the Re-Volt executable which include inserting the custom cars to replace the originals, replacing the original tracks with the new tracks and allowing for them to be raced in Campaign mode, replacing sound effects, including custom sky maps, and using _inmm.dll to enable mp3 background music.
